RIP

I know I haven't been around lately. Between my last semester of school (I am now officially the holder of a Bachelors Degree!), being laid off, throwing my back out (again) and being sick (several times), it's been a long six months.

I'm back to starting to write again - at least, I'm thumbing through story ideas and trying to get the juices flowing. Meanwhile, I'm job hunting, trying to clean the apartment I've let slide for the last 3 months of school, and planning for a trip in August to go to the Vancouver Supernatural convention with friends! wheee! Imma gonna be all fangirly, even!

In the meantime I'm watching a lot of news, and today's subject heading was a really great statement from an article about a 9 year old who got lost for 18 hours in the woods, and was resilient enough not just to keep his head and not get eaten by a bear, but actively worked for his own rescue. It's an amazing story, and the quote is his father's really understated summary of what he learned from the experience.

Statement works for a lot of things these days, if you ask me.

By the way, if anyone out there can advise me on how to get my tags list to appear on my homepage? That info would be appreciated. I've updated a lot of my story tags for further clarification - which show, certain warnings, au, etc. - but I have no idea how to make the list appear on the home page to ya'll can use it for searching!
